UK Outlook for Tuesday 18 Oct 2011 to Thursday 27 Oct 2011:
Remaining mostly cool and rather unsettled throughout the whole period, with clear/sunny intervals and blustery showers. Some of the showers are likely to be heavy, with hail and thunder, and also falling as snow over the higher ground in the northwest, and occasionally as far south as Snowdonia and the Pennines. Showers are also likely to merge at times to give some longer spells of rain, especially across southern parts of the UK. It is likely to be generally breezy across the whole of the UK throughout, with mostly west or southwesterly winds, perhaps turning northwesterly at times. There is also a risk of gales, especially across exposed northwestern parts, giving a noticeable windchill here.
